Welcome to Sniped. Sniped is a platform designed to help friends connect in the real world.

These Terms of Service ("Terms"), together with our Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines (collectively, the "Agreement"), govern your access to and use of the Sniped application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

By accessing or using Sniped, you agree to be bound by this Agreement. If you do not agree, you may not access or use the Service.

1. Who Can Use Sniped

You may use Sniped only if you:

  • Are at least 13 years old
  • Have permission from a parent or guardian if you're under 18
  • Are a real human (not a bot or automated system)
  • Agree to comply with these Terms and our Community Guidelines

2. Your Account

Creating an Account

To create an account, you must:

  • Provide a valid phone number
  • Provide accurate and up-to-date information
  • Keep your login credentials secure

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

Account Security

You agree that you will not:

  • Share your account with others
  • Create multiple accounts or impersonate another person

You must let us know immediately if you believe your account has been compromised.

3. How Sniped Works

Sniped helps you connect with friends in the real world by:

  • Showing you when friends are nearby or available to meet up
  • Allowing you to share your location with friends you choose
  • Enabling you to share moments and experiences with your friend group

Research shows that while social media was designed to bring us together, young people feel more disconnected than ever—and making real friends has never felt harder. Sniped flips social media back to its original purpose by turning online connections into real-world moments. By encouraging users to physically find their friends, Sniped brings people together—offline, where real connection happens.

4. Your Content

Ownership

You own the content you post on Sniped, including photos, videos, messages, and other materials ("User Content").

License to Sniped

By posting User Content, you grant Sniped a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to:

  • Store, display, and transmit your content to intended recipients
  • Make technical copies necessary to operate the Service
  • Create backups or derivatives solely for functionality and maintenance

This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except where retention is required by law.

Your Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Share only content you have the right to share
  • Respect the rights of others
  • Comply with our Community Guidelines
  • Be authentic, kind, respectful, and responsible

5. Community Guidelines

We're building a positive community. You agree not to:

  • Harass, bully, or threaten others
  • Share hateful, violent, illegal, or sexually explicit content
  • Impersonate others or spread misinformation
  • Violate privacy or intellectual property rights
  • Use Sniped for spam or unauthorized commercial purposes
  • Attempt to hack, scrape, reverse engineer, or disrupt the Service

6. Location & Privacy

Location Sharing

  • Location sharing is optional and fully controlled by you
  • You choose when and with whom to share your location
  • Location sharing can be disabled at any time

Safety Reminder: You are responsible for your own safety when meeting others. Meet in public places, use good judgement, and never share your location with people you do not know or trust.

Privacy

Your privacy matters to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information.

7. Beta & Development

Sniped is currently in development and will launch in beta. This means:

  • Features may change, be added, or removed
  • The Service may experience bugs or interruptions
  • Some features may not function as intended

We appreciate your patience and feedback as we continue to improve the Service.

8. Prohibited Activities

You may not:

  • Use Sniped for any illegal purposes
  • Attempt unauthorized access to systems or data
  • Interfere with other users' enjoyment of the Service
  • Collect or harvest user information without permission
  • Use bots or automated accounts
  • Sell, transfer, or assign your account

9. Enforcement

If you violate this Agreement or our Community Guidelines, we may:

  • Remove content that violates our policies
  • Suspend or terminate your account
  • Report violations to law enforcement when required

10. Disclaimers

Service Provided "As Is": Sniped is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service, especially during our beta phase.

Real-World Interactions: Sniped facilitates connections but does not supervise or control in-person interactions. You assume risks associated with meeting others offline.

No Professional Advice: Sniped does not provide medical, legal, financial, or professional advice.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sniped and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

12. Termination

By You: You may stop using Sniped and delete your account at any time.

By Us: We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations, safety concerns, legal, or operational reasons.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the app or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Intellectual Property

Sniped, including its name, logo, and features, is owned by Sniped. You may not use our branding without prior written permission.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
